I went down to House of Blues yesterday (i figured out that gas was cheaper that the evil Ticketmaster charges...8 buck per ticket my ass!) and picked up tickets. Our first CIF game is tomorrow. It's in oh-so-close Lompoc. It's only a measly 4 hour drive. The bus is leaving 8:30 for a 3 o'clock kick off. It should be loads of fun. It's something like 50º outside and i'd never thought i'd say this, oh my that's warm. Just got back from Boston today, and the trip makes me really appreciate the wonderful warm weather we have here. It didn't get above freezing for most of the trip. Went to see the Phillips exhibit today at the LACMA and...wow. Reproductions of those paintings don't even begin to do them justice. I was struck by Degas' Melancholy and i thought all of Pierre Bonnard's (who i had never heard of before) work, Rivera in particular, was amazing. The Monets were as beautiful as expected, and Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party did not disappoint. Also saw

Ah...snow! And lots of it! I love it when it dumps; admittedly, i wish there was a bit less wind, but you can't have it all. We've gotten something like +2 feet since yesterday and it's still snowing. Conditions on the hill weren't bad, some gusts were annoying, but the fresh powder made up for it. There were too few lifts open though, made the lines too long. Arg. Still got a good day in though.
