Mammoth

Ah...snow! And lots of it! I love it when it dumps; admittedly, i wish there was a bit less wind, but you can't have it all. We've gotten something like +2 feet since yesterday and it's still snowing. Conditions on the hill weren't bad, some gusts were annoying, but the fresh powder made up for it. There were too few lifts open though, made the lines too long. Arg. Still got a good day in though.

We got up here Tuesday night without incident, taking about 8 hours vs. the normal 5 hour drive. It's the result of having to put on chains about 15 miles out of Bishop. No real plans yet for New Years, but i'm happy to just ride a whole bunch.

packing

It's raining quite nicely outside and i'm still not packed, but neither is anyone else in this house so whatever. We leave for Mammoth as soon as we're packed (which should be no later than 9:30, which puts us in Mammoth before 5 (hopefully). The drive should be fun with my jumpy mother, but i can handle it. Mammoth got 6" over night and are expected to get more today thru the rest of the week. grin. The only thing i don't like are the high wind advisories. Arg.

Off to go pack and hopefully leave soon.

sleep is good

So i took something like a 3 hour nap this afternoon, and yet i'm still tired. Luckily, i think i may be able to go to bed soon, but before i do that i just wanted to state that statistics sucks. It seems to require little effort, but in actuality if you want to be through, it's a royal pain in the ass. And with that i'm going to wait to move my laundry from the washer to the dryer then i'm going to bed.

Oh, and i'm pretty sure i'm going to sell my old digital camera and buy this to replace it. I'm so over having a camera that likes to focus for everyone but me. Plus it's on sale at several places right now!

one week

one week till vaction, and as usual (for heading into a holiday) i have entirely too much to do. why exactly i put off homework continually confounds me, but i have no one to blame but myself. whatever.

tonight there's supposed to be a meteor shower, the Geminid meteor shower, and assuming i can get enough done, and i don't get lazy i'll be heading out someplace (darker) to watch. fun. fun.

I finally broke. Thru a combination of Bill(y)'s coaxing, and my boredom and need to procrastinate, i'm going to start posting on this again. Don't i feel lame, but whatever, i'm used to it.

So, what would be interesting to write about...well the Simpsons is on (it's a Halloween...V i think) and trying to ignore my brother's gameboy music. We went to pick out a christamas tree earlier. I have a photo paper to do, but absolutly inclination to do it. So a completely exillerating evening by any standards.

Saw Closer this weekend and it was pretty good. Kinda crass in moments, but good all the same. I'm looking forward to Ocean's 12 even more though. That should be fun.

But now i'm bored of trying to pull out interesting details of my life to share, and thus i'll return to the teachers of Springfield eating away their detained students.
